BENEFITS AND SERVICES FOR CREW
ON-TIME ALLOTMENT
LMM guarantees monthly on-time allotment payments, with no hidden fees or deductions. Your wages will arrive in the amount agreed upon, and are open to upward adjustments as you continue your career with our principals. The company has a designated bank for allotment accounts, and you can choose whether you want your account in US Dollar or Philippine Peso.
EMERGENCY ALLOTMENT
If you have a family emergency at home, you can request that an emergency allotment be credited as soon as possible.
MAXIMIZED USD-PHP EXCHANGE RATE
At the time of allotment remittance, LMM negotiates with its partner bank to ensure you receive an exchange rate higher than the published rate, which maximizes your earnings.
BONUSES
In addition to your allotment, we have principals that offer rejoining and performance bonuses.
PAYMENT OF SOCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS
LMM guarantees that your social contributions to SSS and Philhealth will always be up-to-date.
JOB SECURITY & CAREER PLANNING
Ships continuously come under our management and open up opportunities for our pool of seafarers and qualified applicants. LMM seafarers also enjoy long-term career planning and scheduled line-ups that offer job security and a chance to enjoy your vacation without worrying about your next contract. LMM and its principals also provide support for those seeking a higher license
ACCESS TO FINANCING VIA THE MARITIME MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE
LMM seafarers have the opportunity to avail of the services of the Maritime Multipurpose Cooperative (MMPC). The cooperative offers access to safe and affordable loans, and other financial services to all its members. MMPC aims to provide a better option to secure emergency financing by being a vehicle for savings, income, and financial discipline. Membership to MMPC is optional and voluntary. MMPC is formally registered with the Cooperative Development Authority of the Philippines and is independent of LMM.
FAMILY HEALTH CARD
Several principals of LMM offer a Family Health Card for crew and their loved ones. This insurance provides financial support during health emergencies and eases the burden of medical costs.
RETIREMENT FUND
After retiring from seafaring, qualified seafarers can enjoy the benefits of a retirement fund, which has been designed to act as a financial cushion as they transition out of sailing. Read about our principals’ retirement fund mechanics here.
CREW AND FAMILY MAIL
Family members of seafarers may send their letters and packages to the office, and we will forward them to the vessel. However, all “padalas” are subject to inspection, to ensure that it does not violate any travel regulations, and are acceptable onboard.
